This tool displays "In the News" articles filtered for relevance to site users in a particular region. Regional news sections also include access to "archived" news articles and an RSS newsfeed tool tailored to allow users to subscribe to a newsfeed of articles specific to the specified region. RSS newsfeeds allow users to access BayCare news articles directly from their desktop.

The "Health and Safety" section of the BayCare Online Resource Center provides information about Bayer's product risk characterization process, along with product and distribution safety support service descriptions, Bayer contact information for each region, and access to Product Safety Summary documents. A subsection details Bayer's position on nanomaterials and offers a variety of information about the company's health and safety initiatives in this area. Links to third party health and safety related resources are also provided.

Regulatory Compliance
The "Regulatory Compliance" section of the BayCare Online Resource Center helps keep customers, distributors and employees informed about new and existing legislative or regulatory issues concerning Bayer MaterialScience products in different regions of the world. Regulatory Updates typically provide a brief overview of a particular issue, with links to government or association Internet sites for in-depth information. Subsections of the "Regulatory Compliance" section provide information about regulatory compliance support services available to Bayer MaterialScience customers, FDA compliance status information for various Bayer MaterialScience products, contact information for questions about specific regulatory issues, and a list of related resources.

Environmental Sustainability
The "Environmental Sustainability" section of the BayCare Online Resource Center outlines Bayer's commitment to the principles of sustainable development. Subsections provide information for customers, distributors and employees about the recycling of Bayer MaterialScience products used in various production processes, waste reduction guidance, emissions estimation tools, contact information for Bayer MaterialScience personnel with specific expertise in these areas, and a list of related third party resources.

Regional Reference Libraries
BayCareOnline.com provides access to a wide variety of health, environment and safety reference materials relevant to Bayer MaterialScience products. "Reference Library" sections are specific to each region, and are organized by product group—with links to downloadable materials in electronic (typically PDF) formats. Bayer-authored documents are typically reserved for use by customers, distributors and employees. Hard copy literature and electronic media can also be ordered by customers and distributors through the site for a select list of Bayer-authored resources.

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Registered site users gain convenient, 24/7/365 access to the latest Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) from Bayer MaterialScience. A search feature allows users to locate MSDS by product code or by trade name. MSDS are provided in electronic (PDF) format.

BayCare Alert! E-Mail Subscription and Archive Access
BayCare Alert! e-mail messages are distributed periodically to inform registered users of the BayCare Online Resource Center about important health, environment and safety issues or developments that affect the industries we serve. Users can subscribe to BayCare Alert! e-mail messages during the registration process, or at any time thereafter by updating their user profile on the site. BayCare Alerts! are sent to users based on their geographic location and the area(s) of interest selected during the registration process (areas of interest can also be updated at any time by updating user profiles).

Site Search and Sitemap Tools
The "Site Search" tool allows registered site users to quickly perform a keyword search of a specified regional BayCare Online Resource Center for information of interest. A sitemap feature available within each regional resource center can also help site users quickly locate the information they need.

E-Mail a Colleague and Print Tools
An "E-Mail" tool and a "Print" tool appear below information resources throughout the site. Registered site users can quickly and easily notify colleagues of information resources that may interest them, or print out a page for future reference without ever leaving the site.
